Biodegradation is the harnessing by man, of the decay abilities of organisms to render a waste material more useful. The process amplified the concept of creating jobs and turning waste to wealth which is a globally acceptable waste management practice. In this book the spawn of P. ostreatus and B. cereus were employed in the biodegradation of the cassava peels. This process eliminated completely the Hydrogen cyanide content of the cassava peel. The product was fortified using fish wastes and palm press fiber to enhance the protein content. Cassava waste are in abundant in Nigeria and should be bio-converted for the production of less expensive Bio-poultry feed for poultry farmers to encourage large scale production of poultry products, cheap and available to a larger proportion of the populace and thereby improving the protein composition in their diets. The present book will be valuable as a study material and reference guide for students and professionals in environmental Management/Sciences, Biotechnology and Life sciences. It can also be used as a source of basic information for the researchers in the field of Nutrition, Environmental Microbiology and Process Microbiology.
